Optima Mid
BASIC DESIGN
The basic design follows the Optima Mid at the time of 1987. As the name suggests, the layout has a motor arranged in the midship, and by concentrating heavy objects in the center of the chassis, the kinetic performance is greatly improved.
BELT COVER
The belt cover that protects the drive belt from sand and pebbles has been updated from the vacuum-formed product at that time to a resin-molded product. Improved ease of assembly and dustproof performance.
BELT TENSION CAN
The belt tension can be adjusted with the newly equipped belt tensioner. Combined with the new low friction belt, the loss is reduced and the drive efficiency is improved.
REAR HUB
The rear hub is equipped with a bush at the suspension shaft mounting part, and three types of toe angles of 0 °, 1 °, and 2 ° can be selected.
WING MOUNT
The reinforced nylon rear wing, which has moderate flexibility and strength, is the same as the previously reprinted Javelin. The setting can be changed by adjusting the mounting angle and height in 3 steps and the front-back position in 2 steps.
SUSPENSION
Added stabilizer end mounting holes to the front suspension arm. The material has also been reviewed to increase strength and improve running stability.
SLIPPER CLUTCH
The 48-pitch spur gear is equipped with a slipper clutch that protects the gear from impacts while driving. By using the optional dual slipper seat (No.UM516), more detailed settings are possible.
WHEEL & TIRE
A 50mm one-piece wheel that follows the design of the time.
BODY
Comes with a decal that reproduces the package color of the time. A masking sheet is also included, and the body can be easily completed simply by painting in a single color.
OIL SHOCKS
Equipped with an oil damper with a gold alumite finish, which is like a pressure damper that was predominant at that time. Fine setting is possible by adopting dial type vehicle height adjustment that allows fine adjustment of vehicle height easily.
MAIN CHASSIS
The 6061T6 aluminum alloy main chassis, which has an excellent balance of rigidity and crash resistance, is countersunk like the Turbo Optima Mid, and the underside of the chassis is flattened, and the hex type is used for the screws.
SHOCK STAY
The front and rear shock stays have been updated from the original aluminum to FRP with turbo Optima Mid specifications.
HEX SCREWS
The screw adopts a hex type that can be securely tightened.
FULL BALL BEARINGS
All bearings are equipped with ball bearings as standard equipment. (19 in total)
